dcromwell Posted May 18, 2004 Author Posted May 18, 2004 I just tried something on a hunch. I have an old XP Pro CD that I made with only the slipstream of SP1A. The rollup is not there and it is not an unattended disc. I tried the SP2 integration (with the /integration switch) and saved the ISO. I then downloaded and installed VirtualPC 2004 from Microsoft. It got passed the NTFS.SYS with no problems! Not sure what is on the unattennded disc that is causing the corruption with SP2 and NTFS.SYS. I did encounter a few errors when copying files over though. About 98% of the way through the DOS portion of copying files (immediately after formatting), I got quite a few messages about not being able to copy files. The file names include:i2c25-32.axir41-32.axir41-qc.dllir41-qcx.dllir50-32.dllas well as some others.I got this error both from VirtualPC and the CD I burned as well. Asside from those errors, the integration worked well and Windows XP installed with SP2. No other errors were encountered. I have no idea what those files are for though and where it is calling them from. I will also try the SP2 slipstream with the /s option and see if it makes a difference.

dcromwell Posted May 19, 2004 Author Posted May 19, 2004 Cool. So I didn't do anything wrong. I will research the other threads about those files. I appreciate your time and help.I still don't understand why the SP1A without the unattended stuff works fine with the SP2 integration but the SP1A unattended DVD corrupts the NTFS.SYS file with the SP2 integration...I will enjoy making another unattended DVD... either that or I will just copy the files over and make it easy on myself...
