registering alcohol 120% with .reg file

Featured Replies

Sorry if this has been addressed, I have done a search but cant find the answer

I have alcohol 120% installing in winxp from a batch file

ECHO.

ECHO Installing Alcohol 120 v

ECHO Please wait...

start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\alcohol 120\setup.exe /qn

Which works, then a reg file to register it after
ECHO.

ECHO Reigistering alcohol 120....

REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\Applications\alcohol 120\asoft.reg

Reg file looks like this

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Alcohol Soft\Alcohol 120%\Info]"UserName"="ziggy"

"Company"=""

"SerialNo"="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

The program installs, reg file gets imported, but when i reboot i get the "this is a trial version" and have to run the reg file agin to get it registerd,

Anyone see any thing i'm missing?

Anyone have any ideas?

This is driving me nuts... as far as i know it should work, alcohol seems to wanna reboot which is were the problem might be. If i import the reg file after it reboots, everything works. Woulb be nice to have it run in the unattend though

Any suggestions?

Add REBOOT=SUPRESS no command line of alcohol, like this:

start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\alcohol 120\setup.exe /qn Reboot=Suppress

and after this line put your reg file.

:)

i am unsure about this but it could be a problem with the serial# you're using.
