I was wondering if anyone knew how to apply different power settings surring an install. I am on a laptop and I hate it when I close my lid it turns off or that if I am on power it decides to standby after 15 min. Is there anyway to change this durring the install?

I tried createing reg files that seemed to change when I changed the settings but it wont let me use them. says "Error Accessing Registry"

Check this out! (Very Informative!!!)

NOTE: You can use Powercfg.exe to configure computers if you perform an unattended Setup or if you use scripts after the installation.

Powercfg.exe is designed to work on Windows XP and the Windows Server 2003 family. It may work on other operating systems, such as Windows 2000; however, Microsoft does not guarantee that it will work on other operating systems and does not support its use. If you use this tool on other operating systems, use it at your own risk. To view the parameters that you can use with Powercfg.exe, type powercfg /? at a command prompt or search the Help files for "powercfg."
