Office Xp Word

Whether creating a new Word XP document or inserting text/graphics into that document from the Web, I cannot view the whole document in one window.

To read the document I either have to

a) Use the horizontal scroll bar - Which is a big pain, or

Use the Zoom to reduce the size and (sic) get out my magnifying glass so that I can read it.

I must have some wrong settings as I can't imagine MS creating a program that is that user unfriendly

You could set the magnification to show the whole page and close word. Now everytime you open it, it will default to showing you the whole page. You could also increase the resolution of your display so that it'll be easier to see the whole page in word.
