bigred Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 I haven't found how to do this with a registry file...can anyone let me know? There are some settings in the registry tweaks thread, but I can't really tell which one is the right one...I'm looking to change from the current default Icon View, to List View...Thanks
floppyjoe Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Install Windows XP.Set the List view.Restart the computer.Export the following registry key:; Show Details and Status Bar[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams]"Settings"=hex:09,00,00,00,04,00,00,00,01,00,00,00,00,77,7e,13,73,35,cf,11,ae,\69,08,00,2b,2e,12,62,04,00,00,00,01,00,00,00,43,00,00,00Set this during the unattended install from cmdlines.txt
jrzycrim Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Set your system for detail view and then export the key floppyjoe mentioned.Cheers,
Dobby Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 It seems as though a restart isn't required. Just go Tools->Folder Options->View and click Apply to All Folders.I did this after adding the Status Bar then exported the registry and the keys were different.HTHPhil
