Shadow_Fi Posted May 6, 2004 Author Posted May 6, 2004 1.please don't talk about things that will circumvent protections. Read the rules on discussing that. Basically, Don't.2. Just a general note on some programs working and some not. It's because of the new memory protections and what not. SP2 doesn't like Xplode and some other commercial programs. I believe that's why they made RC1 publice, to make sure that there would be compatibility with apps.1. Sorry about that, i knew the rules. Sorry againg.2. Maybe that memory protection is usefull, but it would be nice, to controll it.
Shadow_Fi Posted May 6, 2004 Author Posted May 6, 2004 Follow these steps:Add the following registry entry:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Winlogon]"SFCSetting"=dword:ffffff9fRename C:\WINDOWS\system32\sfc_os.dll to C:\WINDOWS\system32\sfc_os.bak (cancel the file protection popup)Copy the hacked sfc_os.dll file into the system32 directory (again, cancel the file protection popup).Reboot. Once you have rebooted, you will no longer have any problems (you can also delete C:\WINDOWS\system32\sfc_os.bak if you want).Thank you RaveRod. You helped me a lot. Thanks..
