RZ4 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 I recently installed windows 8.1 on a tiger lake processor and one thing I find annoying is that I need to hook my computer up with an ethernet cable to be able to connect to the network. I have a Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 wifi card, and I was hoping if someone could tell me how to mod the wifi drivers for my computer.
halohalo Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 (edited) Intel's Wifi x64 driver 22.160.0 and later require new functions, so you need Windows 10 version 1803 x64 or later instead of Windows 8.1. If you want to try 22.150.0 or earlier, you have to check compatibility first and make sure it doesn't use functions which don't exist in Windows 8.1. Besides, using old WiFi drivers with security vulnerabilities is not a good idea. Edited July 26, 2024 by halohalo
