I have successfully installed Windows XP x64 on a Surface Pro 1. I am trying to get audio working. Is there KB835221 for XP x64? 

error says "Install Microsoft HD Audio QFE File (KB853221.exe ) Failure ! !"

Have you used the 5eraph update packs? You need to remake the install iso with a newer version of it. Try the 2024 version from here: https://archive.org/details/5eraphupdatepacks/
