aoresteen Posted October 1, 2022 Posted October 1, 2022 I have a project that I need to build a 486/Pentium1 computer to run MS LAN Manager 2.2a. The base OS is OS/2 1.3. The project will have a couple of MS-DOS 6.22/PC-DOS 7 Revision 1 & Windows for Work Groups 3.1 workstations accessing files from the MS LAN Manager server via 10mb Ethernet.. First step is to locate a 486 DX/DX2 (or a Pentium1) computer/motherboard that is known to run OS/2 1.3. Once running OS/2, then the next step would be to load MS LAN Manager. 1. I have OS/2 1.3 on hand and back in the '80's & 90's I used OS/2 1.3 to Warp 4 so I don't need help with the install of OS/2. 2. I have NEVER set up a MS LAN Manager server, I have set up MS-DOS CLIENT workstations for LAN Manager in the past. 3. I also need to track down the LAN Manager 2.2a software and a compatible NIC for it. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks!
