Compaq Won't Read Any Drives? *Fixed*

Hi just bought a Compaq Presario 5240 i went to install Windows 9x but it wont "read" any floppy's or cd's i switched out the floppy drive with one that works but still noting just says the usual "Non-System Disk" error

tried both Windows 95c and windows 98se boot disks but still nothing the computer must see the drive since its shows up in bios but other than that nothing not sure what to do

Motherboard is a socket 7 with a AMD K6-2

floppy is a generic 3.5"

Disk drive is a generic Cd-rom

if you need any other info ask away I'm not quite sure what this calls for

Edit: Got i working turns out the floppy cable was upside-down Lol sorry about that
