Metalhead Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Hello everyone, I've recently regained interest in windows 2000 and wanted to get modern software running on it however I ran into a roadblock while trying to install kernelex. While attempting to install updates from the update center I would get an error on the site. I did enable TLS 1.0 and installed the latest windows update version to the OS Any ideas on what I could do? I've heard rumors that microsoft recently did something that screwed over windows update for older versions of windows.

hokarikanae Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 afaik they changed the SHA-1 with SHA-2 so all updates are broken for windows 2k up to 7
