Jubs Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 A friend of mine decided to reformat few nights ago well after he had reformatted and reinstalled XP he put his key in and it said that the key was already being used on to many computers or something. Im not asking for a new key or anything just wandering how many times the WinXP PRO key can be used. His dad owns a small buisness and hes not sure but he thinks his dad may have used it on a few computers at the company, if that isnt the case would it give this error because it still has his key registered from before he formatted? Thanks
HyDeNCiTy Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 Well, if the key is registered to more than one system, it will revoke it being used one more time... Maybe he needs to use another key... Wether it be gettin a new copy of XP or other means.
