compman2 Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 I have Virtual PC running on my machine. Works great. Running Windows 98SE and Red Hat Linux 8.0 and Fedora Core 1. Work well even with web based stuff. I have come upon a problem that I think is a configuration issue. I have a HP CDRW drive and want to burn some downloaded files to CD. The various programs for burning CD's don't recognise the CD drive. I think the CD has to be setup with ide-scsi emulation. Has anyone done this with Virtual PC?
Skyfrog Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 You can't burn CD's from Virtual PC, the guest OS only sees emulated hardware such as a standard CD-ROM drive, an S3 Trio graphics card and a SoundBlaster 16 sound card.
