Virtual PC RH Linux 8.0 CD Burning RW

I have Virtual PC running on my machine. Works great. Running Windows 98SE and Red Hat Linux 8.0 and Fedora Core 1. Work well even with web based stuff. I have come upon a problem that I think is a configuration issue. I have a HP CDRW drive and want to burn some downloaded files to CD. The various programs for burning CD's don't recognise the CD drive. I think the CD has to be setup with ide-scsi emulation. Has anyone done this with Virtual PC?

You can't burn CD's from Virtual PC, the guest OS only sees emulated hardware such as a standard CD-ROM drive, an S3 Trio graphics card and a SoundBlaster 16 sound card.
