thieske Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Hello all,I'm getting a hang on this site, really cool information an usefull info is to be found here, i was wondering if anyone could help me with this one..I've created "THE" unattended CD which is to be found on the page...But now after the installation i get this "minisetup" with the registration questions & usernames etc. Can't i skip this step, and if so what lines should i add to winnt.sif?
EvilGuinness Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 I don't know if I understand your question, but I reply Do you use setupmgr to create unattend.txt?
thieske Posted April 13, 2004 Author Posted April 13, 2004 yes i use setupmgr to create the answer file...And the answerfile works perfectly up until the process after installation...The 1st real startup of Winxp, there's a small setup in which ppl can register windows and following ppl can enter usernames etc.I don't want that wizard i, i just want windows to start without it...
DarkBringer Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Well you can use cmdlines.txt to create users. A nice search should do you good.
Aaron Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Add UnattendSwitch="yes" to [unattended] to skip the Welcome to Windows XP sections.
thieske Posted April 13, 2004 Author Posted April 13, 2004 Add UnattendSwitch="yes" to [unattended] to skip the Welcome to Windows XP sections.indeed i found that on the faq section of your HOWTO-create-unattended-cd-guideThx anyway , i'll be visiting this site very often!
jaccoswinkels Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 When you skip the welcome to windows xp, windows will create a username themselves? And all the software will be installed with that auto created name in it?
dkreifus Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I've done what you're talking about. UNATTENDEDThis site provides all the basic answers, just read through it. And it does work.
