Please keep us informed - We only want to help

Xper, this latest site crash seems quite catastrophic, and in no way any fault of yours.  We sympathize with you and the extra work and stress you must be under as you have to struggle to return the site to a functioning state.  I only ask that you please establish some kind of emergency communication channel between you and one or two of the mods so that they can keep the users aware of what's going on.  There is already a channel that the mods can use to communicate with the users.  This time, it seemed that everyone was in the dark.  Even if all we can do is offer you our thoughts and prayers, we would appreciate being kept informed of the overall situation, at least in generalities. In return, if there is anything at all that you can think of that we might be able to do for you, please ask.  Thanks in advance for your consideration of this request.
