The other day I decided to convert Windows 2003 to XP Pro for the hell of it. I realize this causes some things not function properly so I'm not expecting a sure fix for this.

Now when I try to use Windows Update after scanning Critical Updates and Driver Updates show up as 0 and Windows Updates are grayed out. (Not clickable.) Does anyone know of a way to make it work or is it basically useless now?

wow a degrade? its the first time i hear about it.

I don't have a solution though. if u installed them on the same folder (windows) there could be many problems with it. new files from 2003 are not deleted. old files from xp remains but linked to other files. i don't even think 2003 is designed to degrade to anything....

Actually, it was a program that converted the Win2k3 Operating System to XP Professional. Other choices such as Home, 2k, etc were available.
