HyDeNCiTy Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Do you have to install an operationg system on a secondary hard drive to just have it store some files?? Like I have my primary drive installed and in place. I want to put in another one in as a secondary. Do I have to format it and install XP or an OS to have it store some files for me??
Datalore Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 No, as long as the new hard disk is formatted with a file system (like NTFS) you can just store files on it without having an OS installed.
