MS Project 2010 - Won't save to network drive

Dear Experts

 

I have a user with MS Project 2010 standard, if he saves an .mmp (project) file to the local C drive is saves no problem.

 

If he saves to a file server (W20008 SBS) directory he gets the attached error message.

 

It appears to be an issue on his PC as when I log on as a different user I have the same issue but if I log on as this user on my own laptop I can save .mmp files to the same file server directory no problem.

 

I have uninstalled and re installed Project 2010 but they made no difference

 

If I mapped a separate drive to the same directory (full UNC path) this does allow a save

 

Has anyone else experienced this or a similar issue, can you help?
