bit of a problem!

Ok, so I slimmed my xp down to 180mb, but now I've realised I need the volume control (sndvol32.exe) that I removed

I've found the relevent files on my original xp cd and all I need to know is what program do I use to expand the compressed files from my cd (sndvol32.ex_, sndvol32.hl_, etc)

use the expand.exe program to expand those files into your windows installation. You could probably find it in your windows\i386 folder or you windows\system32 folder. Hope this helps. If you need help, try expand /?
