Ar1Pe Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 Windows XP Professional SP1 installed. For some reason my system restore function does not work at all. It is enabled, and I can find and create restore points but it does not restore the old settings (=something like "..no changes have been made..").Any ideas what's wrong? Any others settings that may affect?TIA
XtremeMaC Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 maybe u set the restore hdd capacity too low and the changes required to complete that action requires those files. and since its on low it didn't backup those files and therefore cannot restore them. I'm sure u're confused by these sentences . don't use system restore. it sucks. why & to what do u need to go back?

Ar1Pe Posted April 1, 2004 Author Posted April 1, 2004 The HDD capasity is on max, over 6500 MB on both partitions,(48 GB free space on Cand over 54 GB on D).....so I think further assistance is still needed.Thanks anyway.BTW: this is a new computer that I've used now about 1 month, so I don't think this is all messed up.
timc Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem..Try using ROXIO GOBACKits a lot better than windows restore and a lot more reliable
