System Restore does not work

Windows XP Professional SP1 installed. For some reason my system restore function does not work at all. It is enabled, and I can find and create restore points but it does not restore the old settings (=something like "..no changes have been made..").

Any ideas what's wrong? Any others settings that may affect?

maybe u set the restore hdd capacity too low and the changes required to complete that action requires those files. and since its on low it didn't backup those files and therefore cannot restore them. I'm sure u're confused by these sentences .

don't use system restore. it sucks.

No it doesn't. That's just your opinion...

The HDD capasity is on max, over 6500 MB on both partitions,(48 GB free space on Cand over 54 GB on D).....so I think further assistance is still needed.

BTW: this is a new computer that I've used now about 1 month, so I don't think this is all messed up.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem..

Try using ROXIO GOBACK

its a lot better than windows restore and a lot more reliable
