mdavidthomas Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) I the above drive and it experienced a large shock which has caused drive problems: Not sure where to start but the drive sometimes shows up in Windows 7 and sometimes not. It had 2 partitions and when they show up on the computer they both show up and there is a popup that says they must be formatted. I tried to run NTI backup to clone the drive one to one but all the sectors said "read error" so I quit after ~15 mins. Now the backup drive is showing similar problems in that it doesn't show up in windows; however, the backup drive does pass the seatools test whereas the short and long test fails immediately on the Seagate drive. Model: ST9230423ASPN: 9HV14E-022FW: 0006HPM1 Edit: Forgot one thing.....the drive was encrypted with bitlocker, but I do have the password Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, mdavidthomas Edited January 9, 2015 by mdavidthomas
