McAfee -- On Line Backup

I had to uninstall and reinstall McAfee a short time ago.

 

The version contains their "On Line Backup".

 

Whenever I boot up, my toolbar shows their flashing icon asking me to configure

their "on line backup service". Then it takes about a minute for the regular McAfee

Internet Security icon to appear in my toolbar. The "backup" blinking icon remains.

 

It is my understanding that this comes with McAfee now.. If I right-click on the flashing icon,

referring to the backup, and click "exit" it really slows my PC down. 

 

I don't want to use it and it would be nice to get rid of this annoyance. I fear that

I won't be able to do that.

 

Am I correct ?
