Hi All,

With MSFN Guide and this Board I've create an Unattended XPCD. It's work fine.

I'm using Gigabyte 7N400Pro2 as mobo with integrated Silicon and Gigaraid Chip.

I've integrated they drivers on XPCD and all is ok!

But I've tried again with Promise Fasttrack100 TX2 Raid Pci Card and i've gotten this problem:

Installation works correctly, all patch and apps are going installed, but at the end of installation just a second before first logon, windows crash and show a classic blue screen error for 1 second then system reboot in looping.

I've not this problem with previous chip (Silicon and Gigaraid) so i can't understand what's wrong!

I've searched in this forum and i've found this topic:

http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...100%20TX2&st=10

The user "robnjay" have similar hardware and I've followed all steps written by him: (Note: I've do a little mod because my Fasttrack card is different but it's a part of same breed)

******************** Additions to TXTSETUP.SIF ********************

[SourceDisksFiles]
Fasttrak.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4

[HardwareIdsDatabase]
PCI\VEN_105A&DEV_6268 = "Fasttrak"

[SCSI.load]
Fasttrak = Fasttrak.sys,4

[SCSI]
Fasttrak  = "WinXP Promise FastTrak100 TX2/TX4 (tm) Controller"

************ Additions to "OemPnPDriversPath=" in WINNT.SIF **************

In my image, this is the Directory structure:

\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\FastTrak ( "Promise FT100")

************ i've Added these Files to my \I386 dir *****************

Fasttrak.sys

(I've also tried with MAKECAB but i've gotten the same result.)

Can anyone help me?

tnx a lot

I just tried your settings since I have the same card. No problem here. Successfully installed the driver and XP. Have you run a diagnostic on your hard drive? You may be surprised that it may actually be failing.

I'd also be interesting in seeing if there's a resolution to this. I think the TX2 uses the 376 or 378 chip (I forget) and I seem to remember others having issues integrating that particular driver as well (there's a poster in my thread about it).

Hi peachy, I've tried with some different Hard Drive (Maxtor and IBM) and i've gotten the same blue screen error. :rolleyes:

perhaps my RAID Card is damaged, but i can't understand why if i install Windows without a scripting cdrom anything fully works!

probably i will change it with newer card :)
