r37ribution
I ran the windows XP installation and it gave me this error message while windows was in the "Registering Components" phase of the XP Pro setup. Any ideas on the best way of narrowing down what Hotfix actually caused this problem? I'll include a LOG file post next. Thanks!

r37ribution
both issues resolved!!!Removing the Advanced Networking Pack for Windows XP did take care of the error during the windows XP install.WMP successfully started after removing the two updates:wm9codecs.exe - codec update for WMP 8.x (no loger needed in WMP9)Q817787.exe - MS03-017: Flaw in Windows Media Player Skins Downloading Could Allow Code Execution KB817787 (appears to be corrected in newer versions of WMP)
