Yonderboy
How can I disable to execute local paths in adress bar in Internet explorer? If you put for example this - c:\folder - into IE6 adress bar, it simply goes there.Off course I do not mean to disable somebody to write it there. I mean when he presses ENTER, then nothing shoud happen.I want only HTTP or web pages allowed.
Yonderboy
40 views and nothing...allright, not that easy one. I found it at last... not a REG tweak though, a GroupPolicy setting.StartMenu/Run/"gpedit.msc"User Configuration/Administrative Templates/ set "Remove RUN menu from StartMenu" to ALLOWED.The sideeffect is that you don't have access to STARTMENU\RUN anymore.Actually, a good sideefect for me, because its a thin client, I am fiddling around with.Off course, I am not able to run the Group Policy MMC console from the RUN anymore because its not there...one would think its a trap...No problem - you can still locate "gpedit.msc" in C:\windows\system32I Hope you will find this info helpfull...
