E-mail client for a tablet?

Could anyone recommend a usable (and preferably free) e-mail client for a 7" Android tablet?

The tablet is Samsung Galaxy Tab (the old one) so the application must support Android 2.3 and shouldn't be too heavy since the tablet isn't a speed daemon. There are a lot of different clients but most of them are designed only for small screens. I'd like to have something which can utilise the 7-inch display and work both vertically and horizontally.
