Is possible to install Skype version 3.6 in Windows 8?

That's my favorite version of Skype and I always used it because the news versions are ugly and they lag like ...

Its working fine on Windows 7 but I am not really sure does will work on Windows 8

Can someone help me because I don't want to switch 2 os''es just to chat..

I installed Skype 3.5. Before I could sign in there was an error message and I had to close it. And I couldn't use it.

There was the same error when I tried Skype 3.6 too.

Edit: I'm downloading 3.8 to try again. Will let you know if it works.

Version 3.8 didn't work either. I tried Skype 4.2 and could sign in without any problem. I don't find it lagging.

You can use this version and choose the compact view. It will look just as simple as the older version.
