Does AsRock z68 Extreme3 Gen3 work in AHCI mode for Win XP SP2?

I still use XP SP2 and would like to make sure that the AsRock z68 Extreme3 Gen3 would work in AHCI mode before I order my AsRock Mobo.

Does anyone know if this motherboard will work for this?

And the drivers I would slipstream into my Win SP2 cd (Or Press F6 during installation) would be found on the AsRock download page? (Sata Raid drivers for xp)

While I don't have that exact board, I have a similar one from ASUS and I can confirm that this works. I think SP2 shouldn't be a problem, but it would be better if you slipstreamed SP3.

Yes you just need to slipstream the drivers and set the sata in ahci mode or native mode and it should work.
