w7u64xi7 Posted January 15, 2012 Share Posted January 15, 2012 HelloI hope to express it the right wayWe have a very special situation and hope to do it the right wayWe have a one main computer running windows 7 and has a very special software that are not running under Linux at allWe have 9 other computers using Ubuntu 10 LTS (budget issues)We need to access the 9 computers that are running Ubuntu 10 LTS from the main computer running Windows7 we have We need to access the ubuntu computers remotely in a way that as if someone set in the front of it .... so we need to be able to click a mouse and copy files ...etcWe can not run Ubuntu for the main computer due to the software that is used only under Windows.We can not run Windows under all computers because not enough moey to pay. allen2 Posted January 16, 2012 Share Posted January 16, 2012 Yes but there is most likely an already precompiled package for ubuntu in the ubuntu repositories that might be easier to install.
