cot159 Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Ok, so I have Microsoft XP Professional sp1 and would like to slipstream sp3 with nLIte. This I have tried, and every time I try it seems to go great until it is finished. When it seems to finish an error message is displayed saying "Failed to copy some or all of the files necessary for integrated install. Please check that: a) No network or copy errors occurred during the integration process B) The format of the destination directory is correct. The files to be integrated must reside in a i386 and/ or ia64or nec98 directory (i.e. for an i386 share, if you typed "update /s:c:\cdshare", the files must be in the c:\cdshare\i386 directory)."So I have no Idea what is wrong and what this means but whatever it is it aint working. so if I could get some help that would be great!
Guest Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Try doing it without nLite to eliminate that as a possibility. Ex: C:\WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe /integrate:C:\MyXPSourceMake sure to always start with a clean source.
allen2 Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 (edited) Hum, you're trying to slipstream SP3 (who doesn't exist for XPx64) on an x64 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!If you get it to work your os should not boot or work after install! Edited July 2, 2011 by allen2

cot159 Posted July 2, 2011 Author Posted July 2, 2011 Ok, the good news is that i didn't get the same error message this time but instead i managed to get a different one. Horay! I have no Idea why nothing wants to work for me lately but I sure could use some help.
Guest Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 (edited) You must slipstream the service pack under an x64 OS, such as XPx64. The slipstream will not work in 32-bit XP. You can do this running nLite in XPx64 within a virtual machine like VirtualBox. Edited July 2, 2011 by 5eraph
