Beginner Building 2008 R2 standard image

I want to start off by saying I don't have any experience in builds and scripting so be ready for some probably simple questions.

My goal is to have a very basic Windows Server 2008 R2 base image that can I can use an ISO to build a server.

What I already have is a windows 7 box with what I believe is the latest Windows AIK and Server 2008 R2 source files.

What I want to do is have an ISO that will boot up in WinPE ask me for a server name and that's it. In the back ground I would like it to assign and specified admin PW, and format and configure the disks (IE C: - 40GB D: 60GB) Timezone and country settings.

Once this is accomplished I would like to build from there by adding drivers and an application.

So starting from the beginning how do I get started at building this base image?

1. Make a windows 7 server 2008 r2 aio

2. Use unattended for each image, that should be utmost doable.

You could also use MDT 2010 to do this, and it would be fairly easy (and quick). It can also build ISOs of the results, right from the UI.
