Charles24 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Hello,The company I work for has the Sharp MX-M450N printer/fax/copier in their Accounting Department. I am a relatively new employee, but delays are probably the most frustrating element of any work-environment. This printer is creating a headache of delays. In short, when printing invoices from PDF, they will all be registered as jobs the printer will start. However, after a VERY long wait 1/3 jobs will not print. The problem is "Band-aid" fixed by turning off the printer, turning it on and then (hopefully) moving on to the next job as the current job is then lost (Resulting in a big headache if the job is something not easily retrieved).I've called Sharp's customer help and they brushed me off to their dealers. I called the dealers and they were VAGUE on a DIY job to potentially reoslve it; by vague, they were pushing for me to bring in the printer or have someone come down and work on it - typical bs from a supplier. I am pretty proficient with repairs, but I need to know where to look and I've stonewalled myself (Google, troubleshoot, etc.), in addition to being stonewalled by the manufacture. All help is appreciated,Cheers
allen2 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Some generics pointers:- Try printing those pdf directly to printer either with an usb connection or a network printer queue on your computer (that one only if you use a print server) with a crossover network cable.- Look at the size of the spooled document in the queue (some small pdf of a few KB can became GB when spooled).- Check if another Postscript or PCL driver solve this issue.- Some printers come with an embedded web interface allowing to print an uploaded document. You could try also this if available.
