question about package removal

Hi, new comer to the MSFN forum and I found this is a good place to learn a lot.

These days when i go through the topics and something related to package removal, here is my question.

Does package remove will completely remove the backup files in winsxs in the SP1.WIM or if not, when the package(s) is removed ? thanks.
