highend Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Hi,can we remove language components (Arabic, Brasillian, ... Ukranian) only with aik commands (dism / imagex) from an win7 <version> .wim file?I want to remove all languages apart from Japanese (it seems to be needed for a 100% working Office 2k10 installation (at least here on a german system))and would like to do it without e.g. rt7lite (which is awfully slow here). Can anyone shine some light on such a procedure?Tia,Highend
maxXPsoft Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 (edited) you must mount imageDISM /image:C:\zMountDir /Get-Packages > C:\Packagelist.txtthen for eachDISM /image:C:\zMountDir /Remove-Package /PackagePath:Microsoft-Windows-LocalPack-AU-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.7601.17514hmm something new for my right click .wim Edited March 23, 2011 by maxXPsoft
highend Posted March 23, 2011 Author Posted March 23, 2011 This isn't exactly what I mean Paketidentität : Microsoft-Windows-LocalPack-DE-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.7601.17514This is the only language related package that /Get-Packages will show.E.g. vlite and rt 7 lite do have an option to permanently remove components and these include dozen of languages (some of them are only a few kb large, some of them a few hundred mbs (traditional chinese, etc.)).
maxXPsoft Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Ok I see, my dvd has 5 in it. Then answer is no unless you figure out how to remove like them other app's do. I have done some of that testing. Too long winded to say again because we have gone through that in this forum. Think 7customizer is supposed to be adding that
