skiboy Posted March 18, 2011 Share Posted March 18, 2011 I am trying to retreive some files for someone on their old pc with Win95. I can't load any drivers for my ext HD or thumb drive. I found some files online that people say work, but when I burn them to a cd, the found new hardware wizard can't see them.Can anyone help? Jolaes Posted March 19, 2011 Share Posted March 19, 2011 ...or if that fails, perhaps you can manually install the driver first (simply right click on the correct INF file, choose "add to registry" or "Install". Then if you reattach the device, hardware wizard might find the driver already registered. This sometimes can help with 3rd party drivers or drivers not specifically written for the device yet working well (based on the same chip family) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
