XP Boot Extended Status Messages

hi all

i recently made an nLite installation and everything worked beautifully. however, i enabled one option that i thought would be cool, extended status messages during startup/logon and shutdown/loogoff ... and i find it annoying rather than cool, now that i've seen the result, and i would like to know how i can now disable that in my running XP.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System and delete the key VerboseStatus.

thank you. i had actually already found it with a bit of intuitive guesswork and was coming here to say so, only i left the key and set its value to 0 which also worked. :) i actually might like those messages if they display in /sos boot but on the welcome screen ... ick.
