createstuf Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Eee Asus 1005HA , recent netbook from Asus , nLite warns .... files i386 , i directed nLite to the CD ROM Eee recovery disk , nLite ignored me , kept on warning .. then tried directing nLite to USB HDD with a copy of Eee recovery files aka i386 .. then a SDHC card .... nLite is stuck , wont start ... I studied the FAQ , found nothing .. clearly this is a common freeze , since this HW and SW is all new , un modified , createstuf gmail ...
Kelsenellenelvian Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 NOT a common issue...Please remember that nLite HAS NOT been updated for a couple of years.Other factors:You latop is SATA driven. XP doesn't recognize almost ALL SATA setups without modifications.Recovery files\disks are NOT typical standard XP disks. They have benn premodified! nLite will commonly choke on these. How to fix?Get a real XP disk (Not recovery) and use a standard pc to mix the setup for your netbook.Remember to add SATA drivers as txtmode to it!
