Earthworm Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 (edited) Been using nLite for many years, and usually leave off the tweaks because I perform them later. But decided to give them a try, after setting the tweaks I wanted, the resulting XP install will not allow Right-Clicking on any Start Menu icons. I can Right-Click on the start button itself, but My Computer, My Documents, My pictures, Control Panel, etc all have no right-Click function to them. Every other Right-Click menu seems to function normally.I can't seem to figure out what tweak is causing the issue. I have tried removing them all and right-click works again, but I don't want to go through 15 CDs troubleshooting it. None of the tweaks would seem to have this affect. Any Ideas?Tweaks I am using:Boot and ShutdownCAD at LogonLogon Page = ClassicExplorer:Windows Explorer Folder view = DetailClassic Control PanelDisable AutorunDisplay Contents of System FoldersShow ExtensionsShow Hidden Files and FoldersShow Full Path in Address barInternet Explorer:Disable Outlook Express LinkDisable Password CachingEnable Google URL-SearchSet Home Page = GooglePerformance:Do not cache thumbnailsPrivacy:Disable Error ReportingRemove AlexaTaskbar:Disable Balloon TipsDisable Hide inactive IconsDisable Language Bar Edited December 22, 2010 by Earthworm
johnhc Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Earthworm, please read the nLite licese agreement. It permits ONLY personal use and no other. Enjoy, John.
Earthworm Posted December 22, 2010 Author Posted December 22, 2010 I am using it personally, I am not the IT department, and am not using this to reformat a bunch of machines on a regular basis. I have donated to nLite in the past as a personal user of the software, and am not a business.I suppose the way I worded the issue though could cause issues. I have reworded my issue. If this is against the rules, please delete the post.
