Hi! Like title of topic, someone have clue on how to create a Silent Installation of Windows MEssenger 2011?

I just want to install messenger, without the other programs.

You can use guide here to retrieve msi installer for messenger (even if it's for 2009 edition it works for new edition)

In particular messenger.msi should be in 5d079c7f1cb620a0d folder

The silent command for an msi shold be /qb /norestart or /qn /norestart

Hi, get the full installer. and here are the switches.

::- AppSelect:[ProductID] (Companion,familysafety,mail,messenger,MovieMaker,olc,silverlight,wlsync,writer,BingBar)

::- log:log_location

::- NOToolbarCEIP (to not opt into Toolbar CEIP)

::- NOhomepage (to not set home page defaults)

::- Nolaunch (prevent all app from running automatically after instal)

::- NOMU (to opt the computer into Microsoft Update)

::- nosearch (to not set search defaults)

::- q (for a silent/unattended install)

::example would be:

WLSetup-all.exe /q /NOToolbarCEIP /NOhomepage /Nolaunch /nosearch /AppSelect:Photo,Mail,Messenger,Writer,MovieMaker

After download offline live ( approx 150MB), use this command back of file name

etc:

I name live essential 2011 == live.exe

example:-

live.exe /SILENT /MESSENGERONLY /NOTOOLBARCEIP /NOCEIP /NOHOMEPAGE /NOLAUNCH /NOMU /NOSEARCH
