Fictionate Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) I am trying to slipstream some drivers using nlite. All works grate exept 2 things:When I slipstream the (unsigned, modded) drivers for ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 3470 it gets detected but it 'will not start' and I get an exclamationmark in the device management. It works fine when using the update drive methode from there...Is there something I could do with my source to fix the slipstream? Deleting default videodrivers perhaps?Like i said, the videodriver is modded, by default ati mobility drivers do not support xp.the 2nd thing is more a nuisance than a problem: I need to install 2 'audio drivers'. The one that I use to play my sounds: 'Realtek high definition audio' and the other: 'ATI function driver for high definition audio - ATI AA01'. The last one keeps installing as my default sound device, so after my windows installation I need to select the realtek driver in audio properties: audio: soundplayback before I can play my music.Any help with this would be appriciated. I did not keep the last session.ini, should i redo my slipstreaming? I mean, i only slipstreamed those drivers along with sp3 and no errors occured whatsoever.I tried the same thing on an illegal install, just to compare , and it worked in there ironically. I do not know what they changed in there so i came here to ask for advice. Edited September 28, 2010 by Fictionate
Fictionate Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 Ok, I see now, that nlite had an option called 'remove display drivers' this was the solution. I was trying to remove each inffile using nlite, but this worked way better.Leaves the problem of the wrong default sound device, ill trie editing the inf files, c if that does any good.
