ragnarok89 Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Hey all, I'm at a loss to figure this one out. I slipsreamed xp sp3 into my xp2 cd using nlite, and all other options were left at their defaults. I burned the image, and then installed xp on a new pc. No erros reported anywhere. When I right click my computer an click properties, it still says SP2!!!I went to windows update site to be sure, and they also offer me SP3 as an update. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Any hep appreciated.
Guest Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Are you sure the file you integrated is SP3? The file details are: WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe 316.4MBPlease attach your last session.ini
ragnarok89 Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 X, I'm absolutely certain, my sp3 file was downloaded from MS, same name, same size. Guest Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Look in the i386 folder of the ISO your created. There should be an sp3.cab and in the root of the ISO there should be a file called WIN51IP.SP3.
johnhc Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 (edited) X, I'm absolutely certain, my sp3 file was downloaded from MS, same name, same size. Below is my lasst session details from nlite:ragnarok89, in the future, please attach your Last Session.ini, not paste it (as requested in the BOLD RED letters above). Please attach a screen shot when nLite is running the SP3 integration. How did you create your ISO? Enjoy, John.EDIT: Here are the hash codes for SP3: MD5: BB25707C919DD835A9D9706B5725AF58 and SHA-1: C81472F7EEEA2ECA421E116CD4C03E2300EBFDE4. Please check yours.EDIT Again: This line tells me you have integrated SP3: Target = Windows XP Professional SP3 - 5.1.2600.5512 - English (United States)I'm suspecting that your are not creating your ISO for the nLited folder.
