Outlook Express 5 on XP ?

Featured Replies

Please Help me with this problem

My name is Johnny

I used to use MSN Messenger 7 linked with MS Outlook Express so the contacts are shown in green light at the contacts box in my oe5.

What a good old days of using the blessed 98SE

Ok now I am using XP Pro SE2 beside Win98SE as A secondary System

The problem now that Outlook Express 6 which is bundled in XP is not linked any more with msn messenger 7. but only linked with Messenger 4.7 which comes with th system.

So what I should do to link again Outlook Express with msn messenger

The challenge now that I am Struggling with is to install Outlook Express 5 on XP which is so failing me

Or is any way to make MSN Messenger 7 works with outlook express 6

The problem is like this

In windows 98SE = MSN Messenger 7 + Outlook Express 5 = Green Contacts in the Contacts Box OF OE5

In XP Pro SE2 = Messenger 4.7 + Outlook Express 6 = Green Contacts in the Contacts Box of OE5

And What I want is to work On XP as I was On 98SE

Which Means Either: removing Outlook Express 6 and installing 5

Or making MSN Messenger 7 Works With Outlook Express 6 which is impposible according to Microsoft

And When I Try To Download IE5 (Which has OE5 Inside It) XP tells me that this is older version

So How Can I force XP to have Outlook Express 5 Again ………

Please I know you is the last people professional to help me

Yours In Christ....

Johnny

Messenger 4.7 was the default install but Messenger 7.5 is available as a download from Microsft.

Also, you need to upgrade your version of XP to SP3 - SP2 is no longer supported.
