well i overcame by other 1xxxxxxxx problems by changing pc, i installed windows xp on this one and now it wont let me activate, just says that it cant connect to the registration service

Some countries can only be serviced with local toll numbers due to their telephony infrastructure or other issues. For very few countries, users will need to contact Microsoft by calling collect.
