well i overcame by other 1xxxxxxxx problems by changing pc, i installed windows xp on this one and now it wont let me activate, just says that it cant connect to the registration service

rev i have 2x 256 mb SD RAM in, they are on the other side of the board to the processor, they are fine, ive tried them in a different machine, im starting to think that my hard drive is just buggered

i bought it in a shop, its the original home edition, ice only had problems with it since i upgraded from a duron 800 to athlon 1200 about 2 weeks ago

ive used every version down to the ones that came with the card, graphics seems to be fine, this is the main error i get now: PAGE_FAUT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050

drew, now in device manager i have IDE controllers, is that what im meant to have? cant remember if i had it before or not, i'll soon see when i crash :|

detonator makes it crash more often

it just happens at random times, it sometimes says pagefile error, sometime something to do with my gfx drivers

i already upgraded the bios to vers f9 , i'll post again when ive done all the stuff listed, tks for the help so far

ermmm i checked the western digital page and there is no hard drive drivers available to download

after 3 formats, 2 fresh installations and 1 upgrade... swapping of hardware and anything i can to get xp working... IT STILL CRASHES ! more page file errors but if anyone knows any supreme experts then this is the error code: 0x0000008e something to do with my pagefile again

when i boot up xp crashes EVERY time, so i do the f8 start up thing and go into last known good config, system boots, scandisk runs and its about to get into windows and i get a registry error saying something something something/SOFTWARE is corruft or some stuff like that, in the blue screen, so i run scanreg scandisk everything i can think of, reboot and i get this blue screen EVERY time... anyknoe know how to fix this?

opened my comp up anyway and my mobo has the 4 switches for the voltage setting, gotta find out from gigabyte what setting and update my bios... my bios is out of date for an athlon 1200 so i guess thats why my comp keeps fcuking up

you have any dea what the voltage/multiplier would be on a regular 1200mhz athlon ? i cant be bothered to open my case

ermm well i recently installed an 1200 mhz athlon cpu and now in certain games and in just windows sometimes, i just et the blue creen of death, never ever happened before, its just now i have the new chip, i dont have a clue about page files and how to fix them... can anyone help ???

Old news but im new to XP anyways i did the simple thing, ripped it out, formatted, re-installed, then put it in as if it had never been there before... XP installed all my drivers for me and im sorted

Ive been having problems installing my SB Live 5.1 in XP, loads of people have told me that XP has the drivers for it on the CD but it wont install at all, ive also got some drivers that 2 of my friends have used that work fine, but i cannot install them at all.. HELP HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
