jonnymorris Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 (edited) On various suggestions I removed QoS from my nLited Windows XP install CD, not really understanding what it was for (it causes horrendous problems with one piece of software we use if it is not switched off before the software is installed, OK to re-activate after the install, but I thought it better safe than sorry so removed it entirely). Now it transpires that it is needed by our VOIP software to maintain the audio quality so I need to re-install it on a number of nLited Windows XP SP3 machines, however it is not possible to re-install using the documented Microsoft method as QoS no longer appears in the network services list.Is there any simple way to re-integrate all of QoS without re-installing Windows? The machines are in use and there are over 50 of them, if it means working on each one individually then so be it but to re-install all of them would be very disruptive. Thanks!PS Sorry I do not have my Last Session.ini file with me right now, however I can tell you that I removed a fair amount of the recommended items (such as Movie Maker) including QoS.
