woodslanding Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 My most recent NLite CD suddenly doesn't have the setup.exe on it.I'm assuming it's a setting (not OOBE, I tried that) that keeps the file from being created....I tried copying it along with the autorun.inf from another install folder, but that doesn't work.I'm not using NLite to run unattended, just slim down the system. I want to install a second OS strictly for pro audio.I actually have to start the CD from within my other OS partition (also XP), in order to get it not to reassign my partition letters (maybe there's another way to do this--I wouldn't mind running unattended, if I could keep my documents partition at D:, but when I boot from CD it always labels the new OS D: which breaks all my document paths.)Thanks!-ericLenovo R61 2GB ram, Core Duo ProcessorLAST SESSION (205606.20-21.34.12).INI
woodslanding Posted June 21, 2010 Author Posted June 21, 2010 okay, I found the easy workaround, elsewhere in these forums. If I stick my USB drive in during install, it gets letter D:voila--easy hack!!cheers,-eric
