Resizing the Quicklaunch

Featured Replies

I'm dropping shortcuts in the quick launch but they don't all display. Is there a regkey to resize the quicklaunch bar? How about a script? Any ideas?

You need to manually set it how you want, log off and then back on again and then export these keys...

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects2]

"Settings"=

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams\Desktop]

"TaskbarWinXP"=

Right click on the taskbar. If Lock the Taskbar is checked, click on it to uncheck it it. Then put you cursor on the >> at the end of the quicklaunch bar and drag to the right until it is fully expanded (the >> changes to a |). Relock the tasbar if you wish.

I stumbled across this last night - it compiles to a 350kb autoit exe, which resizes the quicklaunch to show all the icons:

Could you upload the small compiled ql.exe to free file host service.
