for that, i plan to use media player classic.. but in any case, that's not what im looking for

looking for playback in internet explorer. for example, playing sample music on amazon.com may require windows media player plugin (extension).

Max is right, VLC includes an IE Plugin, why don't you give it a test run. :thumbup
